The sustainable & social hotel in Kirchzarten: Hotel & Restaurant Sonne

Our everyday actions in the "Sonne" we have committed to the principles of sustainable development. We always try to take into account not only business, but equally social and ecological criteria in our decisions.

We are convinced that responsible behaviour begins with responsibility for society and the environment.

ENVIRONMENT

We use non-nuclear power.
Our garbage is systematically separated and recycled.
We take food and drink from the region - mostly from local farmers and growers.
Consumption of electricity and water is continuously tried to reduce.
We provide our guests with the so-called "Konus Karte" for free use of public transport available.

SOCIAL

Wish tree: Every year we enable needy children from the Dreisamtal to get satisfied a Christmas wish. Last year we were able to more than 80 children from three social institutions a Christmas spirit with support of our guests.
Sponsorship: We have taken 2003, sponsor a child from Africa and ensure that the small Sharon receives medical care from Uganda, sufficient food and an education.
Employees: We are committed to our employees to be a responsible employer by providing a work environment where they feel comfortable and be encouraged and developed simultaneously.
Development Companies: We support and promote the healthy social life in Kirchzarten with donations and with memberships (sports, music and hobby clubs and several aid agencies).
Location Kirchzarten: We work closely with local political actors as well as with tourist associations and institutions together - with the aim of keeping the location Kirchzarten and the Black Forest sustainably attractive.
Lions Club: We are the Club local Lions Club Dreisamtal & through our membership we support "we serve"
